Ashoka Enclave Sarbojanin Durga Pooja Committee (Regd.)

Ashoka Enclave Sarbojanin Durga Pooja Committee (AESDPC) is a registered socio-cultural society formed with an objective to undertake social responsibilities in continuation to celebrating the Durga Pooja. This Durga Puja was started at Central Park of Ashoka Enclave - III, Faridabad by Ashoka Enclave Sarbojanin Durga Pooja Committee in the year 2003.

The five day festivity brings together all the residents of Ashoka Enclave and showcases the camaderie and brotherhood among the residents. In spite of the fact that the Puja is organised by the Bengali families, there is a large participation from the non-Bengali families as well.

Over the five days various cultural, sports and creative events are held. Children participate in 'Abriti', 'Drawing' and 'Fancy Dress' competitions. This helps in nurturing the creative minds and inspires them to shed their inhibitions, fear and face the world. To ensure physical growth there are games and sports activities, for which the kids await every year and participate with enthusiasm. The young members participate in staging plays, dance programmes, conducting surprise programmes for seniors and putting up orchestra shows. 'Abriti', 'Shonkhoddhwani', 'Musical Chair' are few of the events which attract a lot of participation from our members and their families.

In continuation to our endeavour in helping the under privileged segment of our society, we organise 'Bastra Bitaran' camp every year with the help of Pranab Kanya Sangha to distribute clothes, blankets etc to the needy and poor people. Also saris are distributed to the maids working in Ashoka Enclave on the occasion of Durga Ashtami. We also try to share the pains of the unfortunate elderly people staying in Old AGED Home by spending time with them and distributing gifts. Every Year we organise Blood Donation Camp in association with Rotatry Club, Tughlakabad on 26 January to celebrate the Republic Day of India.
